Where is Home?

Where is Home?
Home is a house...
...but I live in a rental.

Where is Home?
Home is family...
...but my family is on 3 different continents.

Where is Home?
Home is where your heart is...
...but my heart does not know where it belongs.

Where is Home?
Home is not here...
...but it is not there.

Where is Home?
I am not Home...
...but one day I will be.

Where is Home?
Home is with my Father...
...in His House...
...because my heart belongs to His Son...
...who lives in Heaven.

Being a TCK makes me HOMEsick often.
One day, all of the cultures within me will be perfectly balanced and unified in a way that brings the utmost glory to His Precious Name.
One day, I will be home, will never leave home, and will never lose home.

I am thankful for a restless heart.
A heart without an earthly home.
A heart that yearns for Heaven.

John 14:23 Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him."

Hebrews 11:13-16 These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledge that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.

This song is rather old school, but I like the words.
