25 Bucket List #8: the Windy City Day 2

Following our tradition (that was started last year), Sherlynn and I started Thanksgiving Day with a little run.
Look at the creepy person walking on my head  behind us in the hallway!

This particular Thanksgiving, we were all especially thankful for animals, as the aquarium was one of the few places open. We thought it best that Doh be the one to navigate us that day. We trusted her...
 Sort of...!

She did a great job!
We only got lost twice.
Just kidding.

The aquarium is beautiful.
It's a really cool aquarium.
Look at the detail in the architecture!
Look how big the fish tank is!

This particular pictures cracks me up.
Talk about the cutest photo-bomb ever!
It looks like he is in the middle of some sort of fish-dance-hypnosis. Or maybe he's just saying hi Chicago-style.

Big fish.
Little fish.
Yellow fish.
White fish.
Human fish.
Enjoying my Dr. Seuss paraphrase?

We smuggled cuties (the fruit, not people) into the aquarium for a little nutritious snack. Unfortunately I did not get the cue that we were done with fish faces.
After several hours inside, we enjoyed some fresh lake air.
Seriously, if you ever have a chance to go, I highly recommend it.

By this time, our attractive healthy snack was no longer energizing us and we set off for some deep-dish Chicago pizza (bucket list #8)!!!

The first place we walked to in the freezing Thanksgiving air was closed. Doh consoled herself by taking sneaky artsy pictures on the bus.

After another failed attempt at finding food, we stumbled upon a perfect Italian gem (a restaurant, not a person). Christmas music was playing, snow was falling, the Christmas lights were the perfect softness to cast a holiday glow. My stomach, however, was not in a holiday mood. We played cards to pass the time until our pizza arrived.
Then the pizza came!
I sighed in satisfaction (added for effect).
It was delicious!!!
I had been waiting for this moment for a long time.

Happy Thanksgiving Chicago!
