God has been pouring down His love and blessings on the city of Rennes by providing marvelous weather. I didn't have to wear my jacket for most of the day!
Around 1:00, Melissa and I had a picnic lunch in the park with Sophie. While we were waiting to meet up with her, I snapped a few pictures.
The park was beautiful and I decided that Peter Pan Park in Emporia must get more flowers!
I packed a lunch of leftover quiche from the night before and cucumbers. I had brought with me from the States some Arnold Palmer juice packets that I brought along and we put them in our water bottles. If you've never tried an Arnold Palmer you are missing out. I first discovered it when I was on a summer missions project in San Diego. (Arnold Palmer = iced tea + lemonade)
As we headed back to Sophie's elite university, she took us me on a little tour of Rennes that has some ritzy houses.
Then we found out the real reason why she took us the way she did. Her favorite street: "Sainte-Sophie."
Later in the afternoon, after running a few more errands, Melissa and I needed a break.
Ma reus est trop cool!
Aunt Terry, this was our 4:00 lunch! Do you think you could make it for me next time I'm on the farm?
French pastries and coffee...I'm not complaining!
Tomorrow we leave for a little 2-day excursion in the Loire Valley to visit some castles! I cannot wait!

OH my goodness!!! This made me so hungry for pastries!!!!! Jealous! Eat some for me!
ReplyDeleteI think I would need to go to culinary school to learn to make anything that fancy! Looks wonderfully delicious! -A. Terry
